Dr Cari Miller

Dr Cari Miller

Head of the AI Governance Practice at the The Center for Inclusive Change and has been recognised as one of 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics.
More Details

My 4 fundamental professional beliefs:

  • I believe change management must be inclusive if you want it to work.
  • I believe AI should be built responsibly and produce ethical outcomes.
  • I believe DEI&B should be driven by leaders outside of HR (with guidance from HR).
  • I believe success is sweeter when you have others to share it with.

Why do I believe these things? Because I'm a seasoned corporate strategist with over 25 years of experience making change happen (and learning from my mistakes). I've been in the trenches of digital transformation since before Mark Zuckerburg went to college.

I've led highly-talented diverse teams to integrate enterprise-wide systems, shift business models, and reshape corporate cultures - because these projects ALWAYS go hand-in-hand. I've been sought out to build and improve org charts, financial models, survey instruments, team cohesion, workforce planning algorithms, UX wireframes, data flows, process maps, decision dashboards, and strategic plans for customers, teams, departments, partners, executives, boards, and military generals.

I've created and delivered educational programs for all levels of learners, launched new products, transformed low-fidelity data into highly-impactful insights, and taught colleagues how to think critically, challenge assumptions, and make sound decisions. And now, I'm preparing a dissertation on the challenges of governing artificial intelligence, which is redefining organizational strategy and forever altering how leaders lead.

What has this journey taught me?

  1. INCLUSION is critical.
  2. DATA is precious.
  3. AI is no joke.
  4. LEADERSHIP requires agility.
