Nikolaus Pinger is the co-founder of trail, a startup helping organizations operationalize AI governance and meet regulatory requirements from the EU AI Act and other frameworks or standards, such as ISO42001.
More Details

With a background in Artificial Intelligence and innovation from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Center for Digital Technology & Management (CDTM), Nikolaus blends deep technical knowledge with a sharp focus on practical implementation.


Before launching trail, he contributed to research on interpretable AI in healthcare, worked in data science consulting and as a product innovation consultant. 

Today, he works with compliance teams and AI developers alike to make responsible AI not just possible—but scalable. He is especially interested in reducing the bureaucratic overhead for technical teams when implementing AI Governance
